What Makes This Clinic Different

Four Things You Will Not Find At Every Arlington Clinic

Most clinics treat the place that hurts. Muscle testing is how you find the structure that stopped doing its job.

Applied Kinesiology

Dr. Monet is certified in applied kinesiology, and manual muscle testing lets her assess how your body responds under load, muscle by muscle and joint by joint. It is a skill she trained for specifically, and very few clinics in Arlington offer it.

A VA Community Care Provider

Chiro Factory is in the VA Community Care Network. If the VA has authorised community chiropractic care for you, this is a clinic you can be referred to. The authorisation is decided by the VA, and you need that referral first.

Insurance Or Cash, Your Choice

Both are accepted. What you pay depends on your plan, so a price quoted before your benefits are checked would be a guess. Call and it gets checked properly.

Straight Answers About Limits

There is no imaging in this building. When a finding calls for an X ray, an MRI or a medical opinion, you get referred out rather than adjusted anyway.

What We Treat

Most Arlington Patients Arrive With One Of These

Annals of Internal Medicine, 2017 (Qaseem et al.): the American College of Physicians guideline on low back pain recommends non-drug treatment first, and names spinal manipulation among the recommended options for subacute and chronic low back pain.

For the guideline: Noninvasive Treatments for Acute, Subacute, and Chronic Low Back Pain, 166(7):514-530.

Sciatica

Pain travelling past the knee, often with numbness, burning or pins and needles. The pattern usually points at a nerve root, and which one it is changes the treatment.

Low Back Pain

Lifting, a workday spent sitting, or waking up unable to straighten. The most common reason people book, and the one most often blamed on the wrong thing.

Neck Pain

Limited turning, pain running into the shoulder blade, tension that builds through the afternoon and is worst by the drive home.

Herniated Or Bulging Disc

Often already diagnosed elsewhere and handed over without much explanation of what it means for how you should be moving in the meantime.

Scoliosis

A curve changes how load travels through the whole chain. Care is about function and comfort around that curve, and it is not a claim to straighten it.

Knee Pain

Stairs, squatting and distance. The knee is frequently the place that hurts while the hip or the foot is the place that failed.

If You Notice Any of These Warning Signs, Please Seek Emergency Room Care Right Away.

Any of these needs a hospital the same day rather than a chiropractor:

  • Loss of bowel or bladder control
  • Numbness through the saddle area or inner thighs
  • Weakness in both legs, or weakness that is getting worse by the day
  • A fever alongside back pain
  • Back pain after a significant fall or collision, or a suspected fracture
  • New back pain with a history of cancer

Common Questions

Before You Book

Do you take walk-ins?

No. Every visit is booked, which is what keeps the appointment time yours rather than shared with whoever arrives first.

Do you take my insurance?

Insurance and cash are both accepted, and what your plan covers varies enough that quoting a price before checking would be guessing. Call and it gets verified.

Do you take X rays here?

No. There is no imaging in this building. If your examination points at something that needs an image, you get referred for one rather than adjusted anyway.

I am a veteran. Can I be seen?

Yes, through the VA Community Care Network, and the VA needs to authorise the referral first. Call and you will be told exactly what to ask them for.

Are you Webster certified?

No. Dr. Monet is not Webster certified. She adjusts pregnant patients using pelvic balancing techniques and will not claim a certification she has not earned. If you want a Webster certified provider specifically, she will point you to one.

Do you treat children?

Yes, including infants. She is not a certified pediatric chiropractor and will not say she is. Children are assessed as children, and the force used is a fraction of an adult adjustment.
